Since 2011 natalieboyd.com has served to highlight student learning.

About Mrs. Boyd:

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. In 2006, I completed my undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University, immediately starting a career in marketing.

After working in magazine publications and various global pursuits, including studying at a university in Beijing, China, I returned to the United States to work with kids!

I have always enjoyed encouraging children to learn and grow; as a life guard, a camp counsellor, a prekindergarten teacher, and today as an elementary educator.

Teaching at University Schools, Greeley, Colorado, United States of America:

In 2011, I began teaching at University Schools.  In May 2012 I completed my Masters Degree at the University of Northern Colorado in Elementary Education.  During the six school years of teaching at University Schools I was able to teach many grade levels including 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Teaching at St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju, South Korea, Jeju Island:

In September 2017, my family and I moved to South Korea.  My husband, Justin Boyd and I have had the privilege of being founding faculty members at St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju.  The school is located in the Global Education City on Jeju Island.

Starting in 2018 I transitioned into a role of Science Instructional Specialist. During my time in this position, I’ve enjoyed the unique opportunity to both co-teach and co-plan with grade level teaching teams, as well as working with students in a wide variety of places; the classroom, Science Lab, Inquiry Lab, playground, school gardens, on field trips, and more.

I currently coach teachers, while keeping my skills as an educator relevant; regularly working with preschool students to 5th grade students proves to be an optimal way to grow as an educator while continually finding new ways for both teachers and students to explore and grow together.
