The school year is off to a great start!
Students have demonstrated an especially great interest in books.
During each week we have a few times set aside as “DEAR time”. Â Students do just that, they DEAR (Drop Everything and Read).
Although our first reading log of the school year isn’t due until Tuesday, September 25, students should be reading at home. Â Even if you only have 20 minutes, make family DEAR time a fun event. Â Turn off the television, computer, iPad, video games or other electronic media and bring books to life.
Students can take Accelerated Reader Quizzes (AR quizzes) at school. Â Parents can receive automatic notification of how their child performs during a quiz. Â Simple sign up at AR Home Connect.
