Our students started their school day performing the play “One Happy Family” for an audience of 2nd grade students. We had a very polite audience and look forward to performing for the 2nd grade students every other week.
The 4th grade students acted in the play and shared eight specific family vocabulary words (reunion, tradition, etc.) with our young audience.
After the performance concluded the 2nd grade students shared the vocabulary words they were able to remember. The 2nd grade students also asked our “actors” questions. Our 4th grade students were professional and did a wonderful job bringing the production together. We want to give a special thank you to our students who brought in props from home.
The cast of the production traveled from Arizona to perform for our students. We are SO excited that both the 3rd and 4th grade students of University Schools were able to enjoy this live theater opportunity. What a great way to learn about the presidents through U.S.History as we prepare for our nations upcoming presidential election in November.
